Safe Sport Update - Alberta Lacrosse Association

The Alberta Lacrosse Association (ALA) has launched the Alberta Safe Sport Complaint Mechanism (ABSSCM), now the exclusive process for reporting and resolving maltreatment complaints. Alongside this, the ALA has adopted the Alberta Universal Code of Conduct (AB UCC) and the Reporting and Independent Resolution Policy (RIRP).

ALIAS Solutions Inc., is an independent service that allows confidential reporting via web or phone. All cases will be managed by ALIAS’s third-party team, ensuring transparency and accountability.

This initiative places ALA at the forefront of safe sport in Alberta, reinforcing the commitment to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive lacrosse community.

Safe Sport is more than policy—it’s a promise. Every participant deserves an environment free from abuse, discrimination, and harm. Your voice and actions matter: speak up, support others, and help build a culture where safety is the standard.
