Coaching Requirements/Application

Commitment to Development: Coaching staff should prioritize the development of players' skills, knowledge, and understanding of the game. This includes technical, tactical, and mental aspects of lacrosse.

Enjoyment of the Game: Creating a fun and engaging environment is essential for player retention and long-term participation. Coaches should focus on making practices and games enjoyable for all players.

Winning as a Secondary Goal: While winning can be motivating, it should not be the primary objective. The emphasis should be on player development and creating a positive experience.

By adhering to these principles, coaching staff can contribute to the overall growth and success of the lacrosse program.

The Alberta Lacrosse Association will be strictly enforcing the Canadian Lacrosse Association's Minimum Coaching requirements. Failure to comply will result in a $250 per coach fine for the club.
